The DBxtra Web Report Widget allows embedding of any DBxtra Report Object (Reports, Data Grids, Pivot Grids) into any Web page.

IMPORTANT! You need to have a  Report Web Service license to be able to the Web Report Widget.

What you can do with  the Web Report Widget

  • Embed any DBxtra Report, Chart, Data Grid or Pivot Grid in any Web page.

  • All embedded Reports are live – real time – connected.

  • Configure each Report to be opened anonymously or requiring user authentication.

  • Embed the DBxtra Web Report Widget into your Intranet or Web site.

Main Features

  • Just insert a simple script provided by the DBxtra Web Report Widget.

  • No need to know HTML; just copy and paste a line of code .

  • It doesn’t take more than a few seconds to deploy Web Reports.

  • Customize the script: define the dimensions of the report, if to include a Logo, object comments, Report toolbar, Views, summaries, sorting, etc.

  • The Web Report Widget also generates a "Refresh" and "Open in New Window" script for you.

Web Report Widget Home script

The Home script allows you to embed a DBxtra Report Menu tree into a web page.

Click the "Web Report Widget" tab and then click the "Home Web Report Widget" button.

Iframe name: by default the Iframe name is "Home" but you can assign any other name for it.

Iframe Width: assign the Iframe’s width in pixels.

Iframe Height: assign the Iframe’s height in pixels.

Show Frame Scrollbars: select if to show / hide the scrollbar.

Show Frame Boarder: define if to show a border around the Iframe.

The Logout Script logs the user out of the Report Web Service session.

The Logout URl script sends the user to a specified URL when logging out of the Report Web Service.

Copy and Paste the Home Script into your Web page

Copy the Script

Once you’re finished configuring your script click "Copy Script" button.

This will place the script onto the Clipboard.

Paste the Script

Open your Web page with your favorite HTML editor.

Select the place where to insert the DBxtra object and paste the code.

Save and publish your Home Web document

Save and publish your Web page.

From this moment on your DBxtra object will be available from within your Web page.

Save a Home Script

You can save the generated configuration and its script by clicking the "Save" or "Save As" button.

Load a Home Script

To load a prior generated configuration and its script select it form the drop down box.

To edit a script, load it, apply changes and save it.

Delete a Home Script

To delete a configuration and its script and click the "x -  Delete" button.

Select the DBxtra Object and right click it.

The Multi Object script allows you to embed several DBxtra Reports with a navigation menu into any web page.

Create a Multi-Object Report Widget script

Click on the "Multi-Object Web Report Widget" button on the "Multi-Object Web Report Widget" menu.
