To connect to an existing Report Repository click "Connect to DBxtra Repository" on the "Utilities" – "DBxtra Repository" menu button.

Running the Report Web Service

Choose either "Report Web Service" or "Disk path / File Share"

Enter the URL or file path.

Report Repository Path

To view the path of the Report Repository you are connected to click "DBxtra Repository Path" on the "Utilities" – "DBxtra Repository" menu.

Backup Report Repository

To back up a Report Repository click "Backup Repository to XML" on the "Utilities" – "DBxtra Repository" menu.

DBxtra will backup all your Project files.

Optionally click "Yes" to also make a zipped copy of your backup files.

Select the path to place the zipped backup copy.

Restore a Report Repository

To restore a backup of a Report Repository you are connected to click "Restore Repository from XML" on the "Utilities" – "DBxtra Repository" menu.

Select the backup XML file and click "Restore".

Important! this procedure will replace your actual Report Repository with the backup file.

Move the DBxtra Report Repository to a new location

Report Repository – Server Setup

Run the DBxtra .NET.exe on the Server / PC where you would like to install the Report Web Service.

Open DBxtra on the Server / PC and create the Report Repository.

Copy the files ”DBxtraDB.mdb” and ”DBxtraScheduleHistoryDB.mdb” from the current Report Web Services Virtual directory located on your PC or the Server to the newly created  Report Web Services Virtual directory.

Report Repository – PC Setup – DBxtra Designer

Run the DBxtra .NET.exe on each PC where you would like to run the DBxtra Designer.

If it is the first run of DBxtra then connect to the Report Repository.

If  you are already connected to a Report Repository re-onnect to the new one.

Report Repository -  Report Web Service

Point to the Servers Report Web Service URL in your favorite web browser.
