This is a label.

A label does not hold any data it only shows a label text.
This is a data filed.

A data field shows this little icon
above it.
A data field is bound to a field from the Reports underlying Query.
You can insert any field from the underlying Query by dragging and dropping it from the Field List Panel.

Note: When you insert a data field, DBxtra will automatically insert its appropriate label. You can re-position the label to any place or band.
The easiest way to insert all fields is to select Data and drag and drop it to the detail band.
This will insert
a table containing all fields. It also will automatically insert a label
for each Report field.
To move labels to another area like the Report Header select them and drag to new position.

You can insert fields individually by dragging and dropping.

First drag and drop a panel into a Report area.

Re-size and re-position the panel.
You can either insert all fields by dragging the Data or individually by selecting each field, into the panel.

Click the
button
on the Standard Controls panel and drag the pointer to the Report area
where you want the label to appear.
Select the label and double click it to edit its label text.

Or click the arrow on top of the label and edit the Text field.

Edit a field property by selecting it and clicking the arrow on top of it.

You can change the field’s data binding to another data field.
If you select None then the field will become a label instead of a data field.
Select the field and re-size it by dragging.

You can re-size several fields at the same time by selecting and holding down the CTRL key.
Move a field or several fields at the same time by selecting and dragging them to another position or band.

To select multiple fields hold down the CTRL key and select the fields.
Copy a field by selecting it and clicking the Copy button on the menu bar.
Cut a field by selecting it and clicking the Cut button on the menu bar.

To paste it select a Report area and click the Paste button.
Select the field and click the Delete key.
