Each Query and Report has automatically an attached Pivot Grid.

Drill down the Query / Report and click "Pivot Grid".
If the Pivot Grid has an assigned default view then it will open with this view loaded.

If the Pivot Grid does not have an assigned default view then it will open blank and showing the Field list.

Select the View from the drop down box and click "Set View".

If you currently have a view loaded select "Initial View" from the View drop down box and click "Set View".
Drag and drop fields from the Field list to an Pivot area.


You can create multi level Pivot tables.


The Pivot Grid Field list must be loaded.
You can load it by clicking the "Show /Hide Field List" button.
Select the field from the Pivot Grid and drag and drop it to the Field list.

Be default DBxtra will show 50 rows on each page but you enter a different value in the "Rows" drop down box.
By default DBxtra assigns the SUM function to data fields.
You can change it by selecting the field and function and clicking the button"Set Sum".

To sort on a Row or Column field click the arrow in it.

It will either change to ascending or descending.
To sot on a Data field click the "Refresh" button, then select the sort field and the "By" field

Then click the small arrow in the row or column field you selected.

It will either change to ascending or descending.
To filter data in a Pivot Grid select the field and click the Drop Down box.
You can select either individual fields or all.

To filter on a field which is not included in the row or column area drag and drop the field into the filter area.

You can select either individual fields or all.

To expand or collapse an individual column click the
or
icon.
To expand or collapse all columns select the appropriate option from the menu.

Saving a pivot Grid to a bookmark can be very practical if you defined a Pivot Grid and want to open it later.
Once the Pivot Grid layout is defined click on the "Save to Bookmark" button.


Assign a bookmark name.
Next time yo open the bookmark from your browser the Pivot Grid will load with the exact settings you defined.
Note! Sort orders are not saved with the bookmark.
To export the selected Pivot Grid to MS Excel click on the "Export to Excel" button.

This will load MS Excel with the Pivot Grid's data.
Select on of the pre-defined styles from the menu bar.
