The Visual Report Designer

The Visual report Designer lets you easily create pixel exact reports.

The Report Designer Interface

DBxtra allows working on various Reports simultaneously and shows a Report tab for each open Report.

You can move around different Report designs by clicking each tab.

The menu bar shows all Report design options.

Hint: Move the mouse over a menu bar command to view a tool tip.

There is where all your fields and controls will be inserted.

This box holds all standard controls available.

Each control will be explained in the subsequent help file sections.

All fields from the Reports underlying Query are displayed and available to be inserted into the Report.

The property Grid allows defining each Report area and control to define individually.

Select any field or control and the property grid will show each control design properties.

Most of the property grid sections will be explained in the subsequent chapters.
