Report Web Service functionality

Web Report

Click the report to open.

Web Report Functionality

Move around pages by clicking the navigation buttons.

Search for values by clicking the Search button.

Print by clicking the Print icon.

Export data to: PDF, Excel, RTF, Mht, Text, Csv or image file.

Select he export format and then click the Save icon.

Web Report Parameter Reports

If the Report was designed as a parameter Report then the end-user is asked to enter a given parameter.

You can enter a value manually or click the Show Value check box to load values into the drop down box.

To see all records leave the <All values> parameter.

Select a value form the drop down box.

Click Show Report.

To enter another parameter click the Parameter link on top of the Web Report.

Hide All Values - Hides all shown values.

Show All Values - Will open the Report wit all records.

Reset Field Values - Will empty the values box.

Save Report to Bookmark

For easy future access save the Report to a bookmark.

Bookmarks will be saved with all applied filters.

Web Data Grid

A Query or a Reports underlying Query can be opened in a Web Data Grid.

Click a Query or a Reports underlying Query to open.

Web Data Grid Functionality

Home - Go to the Report Web Service Home.

Clear Groups/Sorts - Clears all groups and sort orders.

Save to Bookmark - Saves the Data grid to a bookmark.

Export to Excel - Exports the data contained in the Data grid to a MS Excel file.

Refresh - Connects to the database and gets the latest data.

Log out - User logout.

Move around the Data Grid

Click on a page link or choose to go to the first or last page.

Web Data Grid Parameter

See above. Applies just as with Reports.

Web Data Grid Grouping

Drag a column header to the Group area.

You can add nested groups by adding additional groups to the header.

Sort Web Data Grid

Click on a Column header to sort data.

Clear Grouping and Sorts

Click the Clear Groups/Sorts link on top of the Data Grid.

Re-size Columns

Drag the Column border to re-size a column.

Filter Data

Enter a value in the filter box.

Note! DBxtra will search on characters yo entered. To do a Like search enter the % sign before the search term.

Summarize Data

Select a field and a function to summarize data in the Data Grid.

Remove Summarize

Select the Summary from the drop-down box and click Delete.

Save Data Grid to Bookmark
