You have two options installing the Report Web Service.
The DBxtra Web Server is a integrated Web Server.
The main advantage is that you don't need to have the Internet Information Server installed or configures on your PC or Server.
Recommended for:
Demo use or local / LAN Report Web Service use.
Not recommended for:
Internet access.
Advantages:
No need to install or configure the IIS - Internet Information Server.
Quick installation; ideal for trial use.
Disadvantages:
Might not be secure over the Internet.
Might be a bit slower then the Internet Information Server.
The DBxtra Designer must be running on the PC or Server where the Report Web Service is installed.
If you use the DBxtra Report Web Service on a Web Server exposed to the Internet we strongly recommend not to use this option. It might not be secure.
Hint! You can later change from the DBxtra Web server to the IIS - Internet Information Server.
Just configure and select the IIS installation option.
All required files will be re-directed and updated automatically.
Recommended for:
Production environment and exposure to the Internet.
Advantages:
Might be faster then the internal DBxtra Web Server.
Disadvantages:

Although the DBxtra Report Web Service installer will take care of the IIS configuration it might require adjustments.
