Data Sources

DBxtra allows creating Reports from more than one data source.

You can either add a bound Sub-Report or a Chart from the added data source.

Add a new data source

Click Add Data Source on the menu.

Select and double click an object to add. This can either be a DBxtra Query or Report.

Adding a relationship allows to create bound Sub-Reports and also bound Charts.

First select the Master Table (Data) and then the Detail Table drop down box and select the added Data Source.

Click Add Relationship.

From Fields drop down box select the fields to relate the Data source to the main Report.

Important! These field must be of the same field type.

Click Add Key to create the relationship.

Click Add Relationship.

Click Ok to insert the relationship.

Click OK to insert the Data Source into the Report

The added Data source can now be accessed from within the Field List.

Select the relationship and click Delete Relationship.

Click Add Data Source on the menu.

Click Remove Data Source.
