Important! It is recommended not to place the Chart in the detail section because you would get a Chart for each record.
Usually you should place a Chart in the Report Header; Report Footer or in a Group Header or Group Footer section.
If necessary insert a new Section Band.
Select the band where to place the Chart.

Click the Advanced Chart button.


Select the Chart type most convenient for your Chart.

Select the Palette and Style from the drop down boxes.
Add or remove series.
Assign a name for each series.


Select the Series Binding tab.
Select the Argument Properties for the X axes.

Select the Value Properties Value for the Y axes.


Set your preferred diagram values.

Set your preferred Axes values.

Set your preferred Series Views values.

Set your preferred Point Label values.

Assign a Chart title.

Define Legend settings.
Click Finish.
Re-size and reposition the Chart if needed.


To view how a Report will look either in the DBxtra Designer or DBxtra Desktop Viewer, click Print Preview on the menu.
Click the Preview command on the Ribbon to see how your Report and Chart looks like.

To view how a Report will look in the Report web service, click HTML View on the menu.

Save the Report with its Chart
The DBxtra offers exhaustive Chart formatting options.
You can fine tune a Chart applying all options by invoking the Chart Wizard or by defining settings in the Property Grid.
Select any Chart control and change settings in the Property Grid.
