DBxtra .NET ver. 4.2.0 released

July 7th, 2010

Bugs fixed:

Designer – Opening two already stored objects and creating cross-references to each of them, the application allows me to save both objects, but when I try to reopen any of the objects, the application crashes.

Designer – Moving a heterogeneous object between two projects, and if any of them has more connections than the other, the application begins to multiply the connections asking to configure them indefinitely.

Designer – Deleting a project with one or more folders, the application neither delete the folders, nor the connections, nor the project, however it deletes the objects.

Designer – Returning back from a print preview of a report, the application displays the object (tables) empty, however this does not affect saving the object or if you reopen it.

Designer – Adding parameters to a heterogeneous object, the application does not recognize the table automatically (as it does in a normal object); this causes that the application asks to set the parameters, and after providing these parameters the application does not save the configuration. It makes that the application ask again for setting the parameters and so on.

Designer – Adding an object from the dialog “Add DBxtra Source” (while creating a new query) after adding a function with parameters; the application sends an exception.

Report Web Service – Creating a new object and opening the data grid view, I modify it (grid view), come back to the object window, save it and then save the data grid view. If I open the object from the web, it does not show the initial view in the dropdown (the object opens with the custom view).

Report Web Service – After reaching the timeout, the application does not ask for retyping the login and password and it sends an error

Schedule Server – The application does not delete the schedules from the database once the Project is already sent to the recycle bin.

Schedule Server – Scheduling a weekly job and if for some reason there is an error in the execution of one of the jobs; the calculation for the following execution is being calculated incorrectly.

New features:

Designer – Now you can include hyperlinks in data grids.

DBxtra .NET ver. 4.1.9 released

  • Designer – Schedules are not being deleted from the database once they are moved to the recycle Bin.

DBxtra .NET ver. 4.1.5 released

December 7th, 2009

We know; this time has been real short from one release to the next. But we felt that the backup option in DBxtra 4.1.4. was far from being perfect.

Changes:
We changed the backup utility – when your DBxtra Server database is located on the Report Web Service – in the last version 4.1.4 we offered a backup to XML file which presented certain problems.
When restoring from an XML file all Web browser bookmarks and Web Report Widget insert wouldn’t work anymore because the object Id was changed.
This issue has been fixed in the 4.1.5 version. Now the XML backup – restore will not interfere with Web browser bookmarks and also will attempt to backup and download your complete DBxtra Server database from your Web Server.

Bugs fixed:
The advanced Parameter – Configure List Values sometimes presented problems.
